Meditation and asana
Meditation is what,
but the continual discovery
and re-discovery
of the breath;
exploration of
mind-body resonance
through cyclical return
and cyclical renewal;
constant expansion
of understanding
of this continuum,
and so,
convivium.
In a sense, meditation is simply about learning to sit with chaos. When you sit with chaos, in silence ands stillness, and with the intention to stay with it... to do nothing but sit with it all, even when the discomfort shakes you, probes you to move, you learn to sit with it all in a different way. You learn to find comfort within the discomfort. And then you take that learning, that discipline, into play in the external world, without even realizing it, you do. And ever so subtly, everything organically begins to change.
There is great power in silence. Our silence grows when we tend to it like a garden.
